No, Sargents do not use offal in any of our pies.

No pork is used in the manufacturing of Sargents pies and sausage rolls.

For optimal eating quality, Sargents recommends our pies and sausage rolls be heated in your conventional oven. However, for a quick snack, pies can wrapped in an absorbent paper towel and heated in a microwave oven. Please note that pies and sausage rolls heated in a microwave oven will have a softer, less crisp pastry than those heated in a conventional oven.

As a safety precaution we do not recommend re-freezing any thawed products. The best way to enjoy Sargents products is to heat them straight from the freezer. If you want to thaw the product first, thawing must be done in your refrigerator, not at room temperature. Please note that thawed products have a shelf life of 5 days only if kept in the fridge all the time, the printed “Best Before Date” on the back of the packet does not apply. Discard any thawed products after 5 days.

The National Packaging Covenant is a voluntary initiative by Government and Industry, to reduce the environmental effects of packaging on the Environment. It is designed to minimise the environmental impacts arising from the disposal of used packaging, conserve resources through better design and production processes and facilitate the re-use and recycling of used packaging materials.

Sargents subscribes to the NPC and is meeting all statutory requirements whilst also being pro-active in actively seeking ways to efficiently reduce packaging waste. For more information visit
